A Great West Knoxville Community

Traffic Alert

Belmont West Subdivision is located just outside the Knoxville, Tennessee city limits on Cedar Bluff Road with the main entrance being Briarwood Boulevard. The development consists of approximately 280 units with the first houses being built in the 1960's. The most recent homes have been built since 2004. This convenient location is just one mile from I-40, and equal distance from West Town Mall and the new Turkey Creek Development. Both of these great shopping centers are only 5 miles away. Belmont West is only 20 minutes from  McGhee Tyson Airport using Pellissippi Parkway. The University of Tennessee is just 20 minutes away going East on I-40. Several residents are currently associated with the university or retired from the home of the VOLS.

Students living in Belmont West currently attend Cedar Bluff Primary and Middle Schools and Karns High School. When the new Hardin Valley High School opens in 2008, it will serve the high school population living in Belmont West. Private schools consisting of Webb, Christian Academy of Knoxville and Catholic High School are all within three miles of our community.

With most church denominations, public library, movie theaters, and shopping within five miles, it is an excellent community for rearing children or just enjoying retirement.

The tree lined boulevard is a popular spot for walking and if one gets tired, there are benches for resting before resuming the walk.

Although membership in Belmont West Association is voluntary, all residents are encouraged to join and pay their membership dues on time. We all benefit from services provided by our association for all residents. The entrance and boulevard would not be possible without the support provided by members of the association.

A special thank you is given to Rick Barnes who maintained an earlier website for Belmont West and provided much of the information provided on this website.
